Client: New York Food Company and La Venta Inn
Objective: To create a day of events that would begin at sunrise with a wedding and end at sunset with a 1920’s champagne event. During the day, there were smaller events – the community was invited up the hill for a cup of coffee and the view; painters demonstrated techniques (La Venta is one of Palos Verdes’ most painted landmarks) and a photo exhibited featured photos from weddings at the site from the 1920s to 2004.
Result: Media coverage from local papers, as well as TV. KTLA Channel 5 Gayle Anderson covered the sunrise wedding, local TV stations and papers covered the smaller, human interest stories during the day, and Huell Howser’s California Gold was at the final event as part of a larger piece on Palos Verdes and its history.
